Eberhard Mahle not only bore the name of a world-famous automotive supplier, he was also a successful racing driver. Between 1954 and 1968, he competed in rallies and races on thirteen different makes of cars. He achieved 150 victories and several championship titles. With the European Mountain Championship on Porsche in 1966, he won the first international title for the 911 and laid the foundation for its success. This biography looks back on the life and racing career of "Ebs" Mahle, who died in December 2021, and whose path to the top was not spared setbacks.
